2X Forum
We are looking for women entrepreneurs, representatives of women’s and civil society organisations and a wider range of thought leaders in gender lens investing for strategic advice and engagement.

About
The Forum shall serve as a long-term engagement pillar to bring in the voices, inspiration, concerns, and perspectives of 2X Global’s broader and more diverse stakeholders to 2X leadership, constructively, strategically and in a timely fashion. It continues the strong stakeholder collaboration established with the launch of the 2X Collaborative at the 2021 Generation Equality Forum (GEF) as part of the Action Coalition for Economic Justice & Rights’ joint commitment, in partnership with GenderSmart and the Investor Leadership Network (ILN).
The 2X Global Forum is designed for discussion, network and engagement, bringing together stakeholders such as gender specialists, local actors, representatives of women’s groups and feminist civil society organisations, target audiences of GLI (those who GLI seeks to positively impact), and collaborating partners.
The Forum creates opportunities for transparent and mutual learning, network building, peer exchange and to cement field building activities.
The Forum is comprised of primarily:
forward-thinking thought leaders at the cutting-edge of gender lens investing, influencing and shaping the strategic direction of the field, and
women’s organisations, grassroots perspectives, target audience of gender lens investing (i.e. those who GLI seeks to positively impact),
ensuring a good balance between representatives from emerging and developed markets and other aspects of lived experience.
The Forum has a particularly strong commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging and seeks to be a safe space for open discussion.
Individuals (rather than organisations) are nominated and selected as Forum members. This role cannot be delegated to a colleague.
The envisaged Forum size is 15 members.
Composition and roles
Role of members
Providing share-worthy information on any matters that relate to possible opportunities or challenges for 2X Global and its mandate;
Giving constructive feedback on the impact and risks of 2X Global’s strategy and programmes;
Promoting network building, peer exchange and mutual learning; and
Identifying opportunities and market needs.
Members will not be expected to travel; all meetings will be virtual.
Engagement mechanisms
Interactive workshop sessions led by the Co-Chairs with participation of 2X leadership 2-4 times per year
A select group of Forum representatives are invited to the 2X Annual Membership meeting
Individual Forum members may be invited to be be a part of 2X communities of practice and/or to be sparring partners to the 2X leadership, team and members based on their particular expertise and perspectives
Additional forms of engagement can be co-created with Forum members and Co-Chairs.

Forum members are selected based on this open call for nominations for an inaugural term of 12 months, after which they can be confirmed for another term. The 2X Board, CEO and Director of Strategy make the decision on selection and Forum composition ensuring diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging.
The Forum is co-chaired by two Forum representatives who shall be democratically elected by Forum members. The inaugural period is 12-months after which there is a re-election of the two Co-Chairs (i.e. the inaugural Co-Chairs can either be re-elected and confirmed in their role or new ones can be elected). The first meeting - to be held virtually - is slated for May 2023.
This is an unpaid role.
