This Community of Practice (“CoP”) mobilises the collective influence of our community to unlock capital with a gender lens within mainstream climate finance, providing opportunities for shared learning, collaboration, shared deal flow, and examples, tools, frameworks. Together, peers unlock and share useful insights about investment strategy, value creation, measurement, and metrics, producing reports and resources.

Deal teams are the engine for catalysing gender-smart investments and delivering on collective targets and joint commitments under the 2X Challenge. This Community of Practice has co-created an array of tools and training resources, while facilitating the sharing of co-investment opportunities, internal strategies, policies, due diligence tools, and value creation and action plans, curating emerging best practices from the field. Recent knowledge products available exclusively to 2X Global members include a modular training program covering the investment cycle and a series of popular “Quick-Win” training sessions.

Enables integration of a deep, rigorous, and intersectional gender and diversity lens in investment strategy, process, and decision-making that supports the full spectrum of financial actors. This CoP contributes to growing demand and investment opportunities for diversity, facilitating the broader transition towards a more participatory, equitable, and sustainable financial ecosystem. The group recently produced a JEDI toolkit to encourage allocators, investment influencers, and intermediaries across the spectrum to understand the dimensions of JEDI investing and start applying gender and JEDI lenses throughout their investment processes and strategies.

Catalyses more capital towards the care economy – across paid and unpaid care – as well as underlying infrastructure and the wider care economy value chain. To this end, the group builds further awareness and engagement, enhances collective capacity for investment, facilitates financial commitments, and unlocks investment that reduces the uneven distribution of unpaid care and domestic work for women and girls.

2X Collaborative members recently made a joint commitment to leverage finance as a tool to address gender-based violence and harassment. In partnership with Criterion Institute, group members make targeted individual commitments and get hands-on support from peers and experts while implementing their action plans.

Co-created by our Investment Practitioner CoP and partner Equilo, this deal making platform provides exclusive access to intelligent matches with pipeline opportunities that meet members’ commercial and impact criteria. Members can identify potential investments and co-investment opportunities on a larger scale, and map the market of opportunities in thematic areas like gender and climate, the care economy, and racial justice.

Annual Member Meetings
