2X Global Expands 2X Ignite Africa Warehousing Facility with Technical Assistance Support

April 10, 2026

First-time, women-led fund managers selected for funding from the 2X Ignite Africa Warehousing Facility will receive expanded support to accelerate their path to first close, as 2X Global today announced it had selected nine leading advisory firms to deliver technical assistance (TA) and capacity building.

The selected technical assistance providers are: Value for Women (VfW), Innovest Advisory, I&P Conseil, Innpact, Sarona Asset Management, BFA Global, Open Capital, IBIS Consulting, and Solt Advisory.

These providers will support fund managers across Africa who receive warehousing capital from the Facility, with tailored capacity building and essential services to accelerate fund development and deployment.

This TA initiative, the 2X Ignite Technical Assistance (TA) Facility, is funded by KfW Development Bank acting on behalf of the German Government.

The firms were selected through a competitive process based on their deep expertise in supporting emerging fund managers, strengthening impact and ESG frameworks, and advancing gender-smart and climate-smart investment strategies.

Services will include support in fund structuring, governance and compliance, ESG and impact measurement systems, and the integration of gender and climate lenses into investment strategies.

The 2X Ignite Africa Warehousing Facility is a catalytic initiative which provides flexible loan capital to help first-time, women-led fund managers build a track record and unlock more capital.

2X Global created the Facility to address one of the most persistent gaps in private markets: the underrepresentation of women and diverse fund managers. By combining warehousing capital with bespoke technical assistance, the facility aims to accelerate the launch and scaling of gender-smart funds investing in small and medium-sized enterprises across Africa.

Chief Executive Officer of 2X Global, Jessica Espinoza, hailed the expansion of the Facility’s offerings, noting:

We realised that in order to truly make the Facility transformative, that the technical assistance component was key. It’s one thing to receive the funding so you can invest, prove your investment thesis and build a track record – it is another to have the skills and resources needed to scale up your fund. Launching the TA component of the Facility is a significant step forward in building a robust pipeline of high-performing, gender-smart fund managers in Africa who can then unlock capital for diverse, women-led businesses across the continent.

Providers will be matched with fund managers based on their specific needs and areas of expertise, to ensure that each fund manager receives targeted, high-quality support aligned with their specific growth trajectory.

Fund managers selected for the 2X Ignite Africa Warehousing Facility will be eligible to access dedicated technical assistance budgets to strengthen their capabilities and enhance their investment readiness.
